About Us: Odin's Tree Consulting has been asked to find a Business Development professional that specializes in software with experience in the federal contracting arena. Our client is a growing pioneer of innovative software solutions, dedicated to empowering government agencies and federal contractors with cutting-edge technologies. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development professional to join our team and drive growth within the federal sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Identify and analyze federal market trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
- Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets within the federal market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, prime contractors, and partners.
- Sales and Account Management:
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities.
- Provide exceptional account management and support to existing federal clients.
- Proposal Development:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling and compliant proposals in response to government RFPs and RFIs.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all proposal documentation.
- Partnership and Networking:
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key federal contractors and industry stakeholders.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to expand network and promote [Your Company Name]'s offerings.
- Reporting and Performance Metrics:
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in business development or sales within the federal sector, preferably in software or technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, regulations, and contract vehicles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Compensation:
- This is a commission-only role, offering significant earning potential based on performance.
